International Students
Becoming eligible to obtain flight training in the United States consists of three straightforward but
important steps. They are:
Application and acceptance to a flight school program approved to issue I-20 VISA
applications.
Registering with the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System and otaining an
M-1 VISA to enter the country.
Regristration with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) through the Alien Flight
Student Program (AFSP) online.
Details as to how to work through these steps is as follows:
1. Complete and submit our online enrollment form found here along with a copy of your passport.
Unlike many schools there is no application fee. We will then email your I-20 VISA application and
SEVIS ID number and then mail or courier a copy to your provided address. Complete the SEVIS
Form I-901 and pay the required fees by going to www.fmjfee.com. Further information
can be found at www.ice.gov.
2. Contact the U.S. Embassy in your country to schedule an interview to obtain your M1 VISA.

3. Once your VISA is approved we will be notified and you will be asked to provide transportation
details to US. We offer free transportation from Daytona Beach International Airport.
4. Register with the TSA online. We will email detailed instructions or walk you this step personally
upon your arrival. More information on this step can be found at www.flightschoolcandidates.gov
The TSA requires a $130.00 processing fee per course. Your photo and fingerprints will be sent
to the TSA for approval. You must also obtain an FAA Class I medical exam. You may obtain one
in your own country or we will arrange for one for you upon your arrival. You can locate an

5. Your flight training will begin following TSA approval.
