OVERVIEW

Sunrise Aviation has many ways for domestic students to achieve their flight training goals.  If you are seeking an airline pilot job and have little or no flight experience, then the Sunrise Aviation Professional Pilot I course might be best for you. The Professional Pilot I course includes over 250 total logged hours and allows the student to receive Private Pilot Airplane Single Engine Land, Instrument Rating Airplane, Commercial Pilot Multi-engine and Single Engine Airplane Land certificates and ratings.  Pilots can then seek an airline job directly, work in a variety of capacities as a commercial pilot, or go on and acquire the Flight Instructor certificate in order to build additional flight time and experience.

Sunrise Aviation’s Professional Pilot I course is a complete package. Many other schools do not list all the items required to complete your commercial pilot training. The Sunrise Aviation Professional Pilot I course not only includes aircraft time and flight instructor time (dual given) but also includes all the other normal items necessary to complete your training such as books, examination fees, knowledge test fees, check ride fees, and check ride aircraft.  The dual instruction time is not listed at minimum times in the Professional Pilot course like you may find at other flight schools but is listed at average completion times. Realistic dual flight instruction and ground school classes for private, instrument and commercial courses are included.  Sufficient time for pre-flight and post-flight briefings and one-one one ground instruction are also included in this Professional Pilot package.

Variations of the Professional Pilot course include the following:

  • Substituting C172 for C152.  This is a requirement for heavier students or may just be added if the student would like more room and performance in the primary aircraft.
  • Glass Cockpit experience.  Sunrise Aviation can offer you a glass-cockpit transition in either the Cirrus SR-20 or C172 SP G1000, or you may do your entire instrument rating in an all-glass aircraft.
  • The USA student package does not include housing but it may be provided.  Check out the housing options here.
  • Customize.  Tell us your special needs!  We will adapt an existing program or build a special course to suit your individual needs.

Students at Sunrise Aviation, however, should realize that even though the Professional Pilot course is designed to be completed without additional expenses, it is not a guaranteed course.  Flight training involves individual skill, knowledge and effort.  However, we feel that students who put forth the effort necessary for studying, show up on time and prepared for each lesson, and focus on their flight training during their time at Sunrise, will complete the program without additional expenses.  However, failures on knowledge and practical (flight) tests will add to that cost, as will repeating flight or ground lessons beyond what is required for the average student.

DURATION OF PROFESSIONAL PILOT COURSE

Though factors such as student performance and weather can affect the time it takes to complete the Sunrise Aviation Professional Pilot Program, the Professional Pilot I (250 hour) Program is designed to be completed in 6 to 7 months.  Adding the Flight Instructor certificate would require additional time at Sunrise Aviation.

INDIVIDUAL COURSES

If you need to just take on course, or have substantial previous experience, check out the Sunrise Aviation individual courses.  Maybe you are just looking for an economical and efficient way to complete a Private Pilot course. Or you have the Private Pilot certificate plus have some flight experience and now want the Instrument Rating.  Need to add the Commercial Certificate with a single engine rating and are having difficulty finding a single-engine complex aircraft for that rating?  Sunrise Aviation has a Piper Arrow available just for that!  Or you want to add one or several Flight Instructor ratings to your existing Commercial Certificate.  Once again, we have the courses, equipment, and instructors to get that done for you.
