NOISE ABATEMENT PROCEDURES AT ORMOND BEACH MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
Pilots, flight instructors and students at Sunrise Aviation are reminded to continue to abide by the voluntary noise abatement procedures in effect at the Ormond Beach Municipal Airport (KOMN).
The noise abatement procedures at Ormond Beach are relatively easy to remember.  The essentials are as follows:
1.  The "calm wind" runway is runway 17.
2.  When departing runway 8 turn left 10 degrees as soon as safety permits.
3.  Keep all patterns as tight as possible.
4.  Do not depart the pattern until you are at or above pattern altitude (1,000 ft msl).  Preferred departures are to the north or the west.
Review these voluntary procedures frequently.  Carry a copy of the procedures with you for reference.  Copies are available in the dispatch office and posted throughout the building.
Check the Ormond Beach Municipal Airport website frequently for updates or changes.  www.ormondbeach.org/Airport/ormondairport.htm
